The Part Nobody Saw - Drowning Behind the Hype

The Part Nobody Saw - Drowning Behind the Hype

The Part Nobody Saw - Drowning Behind the Hype (pt. 2)

What followed soon were some of the hardest months of my life, and nobody actually knew, because now looking back I always only told the good stuff and kept a lot inside me. On the outside there was so much hype, orders were flying in, the page was growing. But behind the scenes I was drowning. I had taken on too much, way too fast!

I was doing everything alone. Sourcing the model cars, customising the models, handling marketing, filming and editing videos, packaging orders, shipping them out, managing custom requests, replying to hundreds of DMs and so much more... every single day. There was no team. There was no plan. Just me, running on adrenaline and stubbornness.

On top of all of that, I was also dealing with some personal issues at the time. Things I won't go into detail about, but anyone who has tried to build something while their personal life is falling apart knows exactly how heavy that weight can get.

Then the ideas I tried which failed completely. The money I lost on things I thought would be the answer. The nights I sat there staring at the ceiling wondering if any of it was worth it. I genuinely thought about giving up, multiple times. There were moments I was completely ready to walk away from everything and never look back.

But I didn't. I kept pushing.

That’s where the next chapter begins.
