The Journey Was Never Just About the Business - A Personal Reflection (Final pt.)
If you've followed this story from the beginning, you've seen the highlights, the struggles, the burnout, the comeback. But there's one thing I haven't fully talked about yet. What all of this actually did to me as a person.
Because looking back now, the business was never really just about a business.
It was a mirror.
Every challenge I faced showed me something about myself. Every moment I wanted to quit and didn't told me something about what I was made of. Every failed idea, every sleepless night, every time I had to get back up, it was all quietly shaping me into someone I didn't even know I was capable of becoming.
I started this journey as a restless young man from a small European country who just loved cars and couldn't sit still. And somewhere between the viral videos, the burnt out nights, the failed stores and the hundreds of unanswered emails, I grew up. Not just as an entrepreneur. As a person.
I learned that discipline is not something you're born with. It's something you build, rep by rep, day by day the same way I learned in sports. You don't become resilient by reading about it. You become resilient by going through things that break you and choosing to rebuild anyway.
I learned that failure is not the opposite of success. It's road to success, it’s part of the process. Every failed idea pointed me closer to the right one. Every dead end forced me to find a better route.
And I learned that growth never stops. I read somewhere once, that the journey is as important, if not more, than the final destination. I didn't fully understand that when I first came across it. But now, having lived through everything I've been through, the chaos, the failures, the rebuilding - I understand it completely. Because the destination changes. Goals shift. What you thought you wanted, evolves. But who you become on the way there? That stays with you forever! And the final results? They feel so much more deserved. Not because they came easily - quite the opposite. It's because of everything it took to get here. The sleepless nights, the self-doubt, the moments of almost giving up. All of it added up to something real. Something earned! I'm not the finished version of myself. Not even close. Every day I'm still learning, still making mistakes, still figuring things out. The business is growing, yes, but more importantly, so am I.
There are still hard days. There are still moments of doubt. There are still challenges I don't have the answers to yet. But I no longer fear them the way I used to. Because I've been through enough to know that on the other side of every hard season, something better is waiting.
If you're somewhere in the middle of your own hard chapter right now, building something, struggling with something, questioning everything. I just want you to know that the journey is the point. Not just the destination. Who you become in the process is worth more than anything you could ever build.
And before I close this chapter, I want to say something I don't say enough. I'm grateful. For everything, even the hard parts. Because gratitude is something I believe in deeply. Be grateful for what you have, live every moment fully, and never take the people around you for granted. At the end of the day, life is short. Shorter than we think.
No one really understood what I was doing all those years. There were times I couldn't even fully explain it myself. But the people closest to me showed up anyway. They didn't relly understand the vision, but they were there. They supported me in their own way, through the chaos, the uncertainty, the sleepless nights, and that meant more than they'll ever know. You know who you are! And thank you, for being there, even when you didn't fully get it.
VidK scales is still growing.
And so am I!
That's the most honest thing I can tell you. And if you made it this far, THANK YOU. Thank you for taking the time to read my story, the real one, not just the highlights. I hope somewhere in it you found something useful. A reminder, a push, a moment that made you think. Because if this journey of mine can help even one person keep going when they feel like stopping, then every sleepless night was worth it!
See you in the next chapter! 😉
